If you’re eligible for Legal Aid Queensland, we’re ready to represent you. We regularly act for clients through Legal Aid in criminal charges, child protection matters, and domestic violence proceedings.

Legal Aid Queensland is a government-funded service that helps vulnerable people who can’t afford a private lawyer get legal representation. It’s available for certain types of matters, including criminal charges, and child protection, and is based on your income, assets and the type of case you’re dealing with. If you’re eligible, Legal Aid pays the lawyer’s fees so you can get the help you need without the financial pressure.

If you’re not sure whether you’re eligible for Legal Aid, we can help you find out. We regularly assist clients with checking their eligibility, gathering the right paperwork, and submitting their application to Legal Aid Queensland.
You’ll need to meet certain income and asset limits, and your case must fall within Legal Aid’s funding guidelines — but we’ll walk you through what’s needed and what to expect. In some cases, we can start work on your matter while your application is being processed. The sooner you get in touch, the sooner we can get moving.
